Compliance status
The website partially complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. Non-accessible content and known limitations are described below.
How this statement was prepared
This statement is based on a self-assessment by the service provider. The assessment used automated testing (the axe-core browser extension, run as Playwright tests) together with manual checks covering keyboard use, semantic HTML structure, heading levels, contrast and form labelling. The following page templates were reviewed: home, news list, news article, group pages, recreational skating, competitive skating, competitions, contacts, payments, sign-in and password reset.
Non-accessible content
The following content may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements:
- Facebook news feed on the home page — third-party embedded content (Meta Platforms) whose structure and accessibility we cannot control. Basis: disproportionate burden (Act on the Provision of Digital Services, § 8). As an alternative, the club's own news are available in the on-site news list.
- Older archive content — some PDF files dated before 23 September 2018 fall outside the scope of the Accessibility Directive. On request, we will provide the content in another format.
- User-generated content — competition results and similar data fetched via integrations from external systems (e.g. luisteluzeura.fi). We try to normalise the structure, but shortcomings may occur.
Known but not yet fixed issues are tracked as part of our maintenance process and are addressed in the next update.
Findings that have already been fixed
As part of preparing this statement the following fixes were made: dynamic lang attribute, skip-to-content links, a single <main> region per page, form autocomplete and label attributes, accessible names for icon buttons, consistent heading hierarchy, keyboard-operable language switcher, and a focus trap in the search dialog.
